Barksdale's Ophelia aka "Fifi"
Ophelia is a stunning apricot/red multigeneration Australian Labradoodle with the kind of temperament that makes you fall in love the moment she walks in the room. Warm, intuitive, and deeply people-focused, she is everything the Australian Labradoodle was bred to be.
She comes from the highly respected Barksdale Labradoodles program, carrying deep, authentic ALD pedigree lines known for sound structure, steady temperaments, and those gorgeous, low-shedding fleece coats that make this breed the gold standard for allergy-sensitive families.
Ophelia has been fully health tested to ALAA standards, giving her puppies the best possible foundation for a long, healthy life. Her medium size, fleece coat, and calm, loving nature make her an exceptional dam .
Barksdale's Menement aka Mene
For this litter, we selected Barksdale’s Mene as Ophelia’s stud based on the qualities he brings to the pairing, including lovely breed type, sound structure, and the gentle, people-oriented temperament we value in an Australian Labradoodle.
Ophelia’s deep red coat paired with Mene’s lighter apricot coloring may produce puppies in a range of warm shades, and we expect this pairing to reflect the beauty, softness, and companion-minded temperament that first drew us back to the breed.

This litter brings together two exceptional Barksdale Labradoodles lines in a thoughtfully planned pairing. Mene and Ophelia share deep roots in some of the most respected Australian Labradoodle programs in the world — IvyLane, Spring Creek, Southern Cross, and select European lines — while maintaining the genetic diversity that produces healthy, robust puppies with great longevity.
With Mene's remarkably low coefficient of inbreeding and Ophelia's warm apricot/red coloring and classic fleece coat genetics, this litter is expected to produce medium-sized puppies in rich red, apricot, and red caramel tones — all with the signature low-shedding fleece coats and steady, loving temperaments this breed is known for.

Our Story
Selah Doodles began more than two decades ago when our first Australian Labradoodle, Tegan Park’s Monarch, came home from one of the original development kennels that helped shape this remarkable breed. That experience set the standard for what we believe an Australian Labradoodle should be: healthy, intuitive, biddable, and truly part of the family.
After stepping away from breeding for several years, we are relaunching our program with Ophelia of Barksdale Labradoodles and a new breeding female complimented with established Tegan/Rutland lines, focusing on a small number of carefully planned litters each year.
*The name Selah reminds us to pause on purpose—to rest, reflect, and enjoy the moment—so at Selah Doodles we like to say we create ‘intentional paws’ in busy lives, one gentle, joyful set of paws at a time.
